Foundation Repair Service Areas

Our base is the City of Lubbock, the Lubbock County seat, with an estimated 273,071 residents in July 2025 spread over about 134.6 square miles. From there, coverage reaches west to Levelland, the Hockley County seat, southwest to Wolfforth, northwest to Shallowater, southeast to Slaton and east to Ransom Canyon. Each of the five is a separate city or town with its own local government.

Most of this area shares the flat tableland of the Southern High Plains. Loams and sandy loams lie over clay and a hard lime layer, with heavier clays in spots and playa basins that gather rain. Ransom Canyon is shaped differently: its homes sit inside Yellow House Canyon, where slopes and a lake shore bring other soil and water conditions than the open plains.

Look Up Coverage by Town

Enter your address in the checker below for a quick answer. If the house falls inside the area, the request form comes next. If the answer is close but not quite, read the last section on this page.

Choose Your Town Below

Inside the City of Lubbock, requests come from the streets near Texas Tech out to the newest subdivisions, and our homepage covers the city itself. Each town page below covers local ground, permit offices and common questions. Distances are approximate miles from downtown Lubbock, not road miles.

  • Wolfforth, TX. About 11 miles southwest, in Lubbock County. The Census counted 5,521 people in 2020 and estimated 8,746 in 2025, and many homes there sit on young slabs.
  • Levelland, TX. About 30 miles west, the Hockley County seat. Its population rose from 8,264 in 1950 to 13,809 by 1980 as county oil output climbed, so many houses there come from that era.
  • Slaton, TX. About 15 miles southeast, in Lubbock County. The town opened in 1911 on the Santa Fe line, and soil scientists took the reference sample for Acuff soil nearby.
  • Shallowater, TX. About 12 miles northwest, in Lubbock County, incorporated in 1955. Its permit rules list repair work among the jobs covered, so confirm with City Hall before work begins.
  • Ransom Canyon, TX. About 12 miles east, in Lubbock County, set inside Yellow House Canyon beside Lake Ransom Canyon. The town incorporated in December 1977, and deed restrictions can add review steps.

Unsure Whether You're in Range?

The lines between the city, the county and each town are not always clear from the street. If your home sits just past the edge of the list, or the checker gives no clear answer, use the form and include your town or nearest crossroads. We'll reply with whether a visit is possible.

A few checks help wherever you live:

  • Inside Lubbock city limits. Structural work here generally calls for a City permit. Find out from the specialist who will pull it, and confirm with the City's Building Safety department before work starts.
  • Outside city limits. Lubbock County issues no building permits, though floodplain or subdivision rules may still apply. Each of the five towns runs its own permit office, with its own steps.
  • Near a playa or floodplain. A lot in a mapped floodplain may face extra steps, so raise it with the specialist early.
